Industrial machine vision plays a key role in achieving quality control in manufacturing, cost reduction and added customer satisfaction.

Many industries use industrial machine vision systems quality control. Machine vision systems are used to help robotic systems locate parts. There are applications for machine vision system in sorting, packing, and other material handling applications. And machine vision systems can monitor manufacturing processes to identify problems before they have a significant impact on the quality of products.

This information session will focus on:

  • What can you do with vision technology
    • Areas of application
  • Hardware
  • Software
  • 2D and 3D
  • Lighting
  • Tolerances and Accuracy
  • How to put together a basic inspection station

There is no cost for this event but registration is required. Lunch will be provided.

Thank you to our event partners Centre de Robotique et de Vision Industrielles and the National Research Council’s Industrial Research and Assistance Program.
