Additive manufacturing/3D printing could change fitness. At least according to futurist Glen Hiemstra. It’s perfect for sports equipment because the equipment is often rather small, of relatively uniform material or a few materials. Because of how it is used, it often wears out and requires replacement. Of course, additive manufacturing is already being used to prototype equipment, such as bicycles; but it is also being used to create finished products, such as athletic shoes. Customizable products are also on the horizon. Read more from TechNewsWorld.
