Additive manufacturing/3D printing could change fitness.  At least according to futurist Glen Hiemstra.  It’s perfect for sports equipment because the equipment is often rather small, of relatively uniform material or a few materials.  Because of how it is used, it often wears out and requires replacement.  Of course, additive manufacturing is already being used to prototype equipment, such as bicycles; but it is also being used to create finished products, such as athletic shoes.  Customizable products are also on the horizon.  Read more from TechNewsWorld.
