An Introduction to Vision Applications in a Robotic Environment

  • August 26, 2015
    9:00 am - 11:00 am

At its inception, vision in robotics almost exclusively used a two dimensional camera to guide a robotic arm to a final position relative to a known fixture. Today, a vast range of vision ‘sensors’ provide an economical way to not only guide a robotic arm in two or three dimensions, but also provide sorting and inspection services within a single system.

Vision guided robotics allows for fewer part fixtures, higher part quality yields with less scrap, and fewer tedious or repetitive tasks for the operator resulting in a safer workplace.

Join us as we host an information session on Vision Guided Robotics. Learn how this technology can work for you.

ABB will present information directed at assisting manufacturing companies in automating their operations through the use of vision guided industrial robots. From large scale heavy equipment to small run/high speed multiple piece parts.

If you are an experienced robot and vision user seeking new applications and techniques or a prospective user trying to determine if vision guided robotics makes sense for your company, then you need to attend this event.

Attend this session to learn about:

  • Various Types of Vision Sensors
  • Vision Inspection Applications
  • 2D/3D Vision Guidance
  • Picking and Packaging
